Bup Labs Garmin Varia Mount Arm

Our new Garmin Varia mount arm is a first.  This revolutionary design secures the Varia, prevents twist out, and removes the load from the insert.  No other mount on the market does this.

The Problem With Garmin Varia Mounting

The Varia 510, 515, and to some extent the new RVR315, all suffer from the same problem.  Specifically, they all rely on the small plastic quarter turn insert to absorb all loads during a ride.

When the Varia is under load, the weight of the battery at the bottom causes it to torque on the insert which can lead to an insert failure. There is only 1 to 1.5 millimeters of plastic to support the entire load from the Varia. Furthermore, side to side action can allow for accidental releases due to the pendulum effect of the battery placement.

Bup's Solution

Bup solved the problem by bracing the Varia and transferring the torque through the entire UMS™ system. This dramatically reduces the load on the insert. This works for the longer Varia's as well as the new short 315 variety. The band secures the Varia so it cannot 'hop' and cause negative torque or chatter, and it also eliminates any accidental twist outs.

At Bup Labs, we are constantly evolving our designs to make cycling safer and provide the best mounting solutions possible. This wouldn't be possible without the invaluable feedback from our testers who are cyclists of all levels just like you.  If you want the best, most innovative custom made mounts available today, you have come to the right place!
