This kit requires a compatible BUP mount base.
The BUP top-center (TC) mount arm kit for Magene L508 radars positions the radar for optimal use. It sits low and close to the saddle and is less likely to rotate under load (see below).
This add-on mount arm kit uses our standard Garmin compatible quarter-turn connector and is compatible with the Magene L508 only. This kit includes everything needed to attach your L508 to the supported mount bases. Includes a safety tether kit.

Features of the Magene L508 Arm
 |
Our quarter-turn inserts are the same as the Garmin OEM quarter-turn inserts. These inserts are thicker and harder to flex but unfortunately much more expensive to manufacture. That is why virtually all other 3rd party computer and Varia mounts use the inexpensive inserts with two holes for flat head screws. |

| Our mount arms have a tab at the bottom of the arm to brace the L508 and limit the torque on the quarter-turn. While inserts are sacrificial, this design feature also helps to lengthen the life of the insert. |  |

The arm places the pivot point above the L508. This helps to counteract the pivoting due to having the weight below the mount connection point. This means less force is required when tightening the arm to prevent unwanted rotation from potholes and general vibrations. |

What are these products made out of?
Our mounts are made from a new state-of-the-art material called bio-plastic that is derived from plants instead of petroleum. It is stronger than traditional plastic and able to withstand repeated impacts better. Some components are made from injection molded plastic or steel.
Where are your products made?
We source all raw materials, manufacture the primary components, assemble, and package the products in the United States. Some accessory items or minor components are imported (noted in the product details).
